About this experience
Most people do Saona on a shared boat with 200 strangers. Not you.
When you book this catamaran, it’s yours entirely — your music, your pace, your group. We sail to Palmilla (the largest natural pool in the Dominican Republic, where you’ll hold giant starfish), then on to Isla Saona for a full Dominican lunch on the beach. Eight hours on the most beautiful water in the Caribbean. Less per person than most shared tours. Zero compromises.

We had the entire boat to ourselves for our family reunion. Palmilla was the most beautiful water I’ve ever seen, and lunch on Saona was actually delicious — not the cafeteria buffet I expected. The kids talk about the starfish to this day.

Our extended family from three countries on one boat. 8 hours, open bar, Saona lunch, the natural pool. Every single person said it was the best day of the entire trip.

Booked Saona for our company offsite. Way better than any conference room. Open bar for the executives, snorkeling for the team, lunch on the island. We’re booking again for next year’s retreat.

Saona questions
What every group leader wants to know.
Why is a private Saona catamaran better than a shared Saona tour?
On a shared Saona tour you are on a boat with one hundred fifty to two hundred strangers. The music, the schedule, and the experience are not yours. On a private catamaran to Isla Saona, the entire boat belongs to your group only. Your playlist, your pace, your day, with zero strangers and zero compromises.
What is included in the lunch on Isla Saona?
A full Dominican lunch served on the island, with grilled fish, white rice, fresh salad, and seasonal fruit. Drinks from the open bar continue throughout lunch. No extra charge, no surprises.
Our group is bigger than thirty. What do we do?
Add guests at the per-person rate above thirty. The catamaran fits up to sixty comfortably. The bigger your group, the better the per-person value, which makes a private Saona island charter ideal for family reunions, corporate outings, and large friend groups.
What is Palmilla and why does everyone talk about it?
Palmilla is the largest natural swimming pool in the Dominican Republic, a vast shallow sandbank of crystal-clear Caribbean water. It is home to giant starfish you can hold and photograph, and it is the single most photographed stop in Punta Cana. Your private catamaran stops here on the way to Isla Saona.
Is the open bar really unlimited for eight hours?
Yes. Rum, beer, gin and tonic, vodka cranberry, pina colada, soft drinks, and water are all included for the entire eight-hour trip. No drink tickets, no limits, no extra charges at any point.
What if our group has kids or non-drinkers?
The open bar has plenty of soft drinks, fresh juice, and water alongside the cocktails. The crew is great with kids and keeps track of who wants what, so the full-day Saona experience works for families and mixed groups.
